Well here we are at the beginning of another Rounders Season and most of you will have already started playing.
CLOSED TOURNAMENT
Thanks to all who entered the Closed Tournament which was won by HB Ladies. It was most successful, and the weather was fab. A special thanks to all those who helped with all the organising and helping on the day – from making food, serving food, marking pitches donating raffle prizes, umpiring and everything else that made it a success.
REGISTRATION
You should now have received all the documentation you require. Please could you add the extra 6 balls onto the score sheet before each match starts. Will all Captains please register any new players through Jan and not Ness. Jan will then email you with the new number. You still have to pay Ness however. Spare numbers can be bought at any time but please remember that Jan needs the Player’s details prior to them being used. Also please be aware that you cannot use a number allocated to a registered player for anyone else even if that number hasn’t been used. (The League have already paid the money for that number to the NRA).
200 CLUB
Please, please try to sell your 200 Club tickets as soon as possible. The ticket stubs and money have to be given into Louise by June 3rd at the latest. Don’t miss out!!!!! The prizes are good and will be drawn once a month on the dates specified on the tickets. The Committee are working hard to raise money for the League so that we can keep costs down on future seasons – so we need your help too to achieve this. Please note that the last draw (the big one) will be drawn on Presentation Night 29th Oct and not on 30th as stated on the ticket. For any of you not aware the person who sells the most tickets will win a new aluminium rounders bat.
RULES
When playing in any cup match please note that we play 30 good balls – 2 innings and not 36 as in league matches. Also although all matches are at The Leisure Centre it is the Home Captain (First named on the fixture) who should provide posts, ball etc.
