AGM 2013


MARKET HARBOROUGH AND DISTRICT ROUNDERS LEAGUE
AGM MONDAY 18th November 2013
 

Dear Member,

We would like to welcome you to this year’s AGM.  Please note that all teams must send a Representative or they will incur a £10 fine. The proposals for rule changes are now in and we will be voting on these issues during No. 6 of the Agenda.  Any votes received in writing by 18th November will be counted.  These can be either posted to Jan at The Admiral Nelson or delivered there by hand. (No e-mails). Other suggestions for change will be discussed during “Any other business”.

Information

PRESENTATION - All Captains should be now selling their tickets and if anyone requires more just contact Jan. It should be an excellent night. "LIVE BAND" & the theme this year is "Anything Goes". Please come along and have fun & support your local League!!

AGM - This Year's AGM will take place on Monday 18th November 7.30pm at The Nelson. Although this might seem a long way off any proposals to Rule or constitution changes need to be sent into Jan or Min by Friday 18th October. Any received after this will not be voted on.  

TROPHIES - Any trophies won last year must be handed in to Jan by September 1st.

Newsletter May 2013

Hi Everyone, By now some of you will have played your first League Match. Unfortunately the weather hasn’t been kind to us & some matches were cancelled – Lets’s hope that it improves and we don’t get a backlog of matches. Score sheets Please note that all sheets are to be delivered to 35 The Headlands, Market Harborough. Tournament The Closed Tournament was a success & although quite chilly was enjoyed by all those who attended. Congratulations to La Belles who won the Tournament and to Husbands Bosworth for being Runners-up. Also a big thank you to all Committee members and helpers on the day. By the way does anyone know where the Winner’s Trophy is? The Tournament wasn’t played last year, but we would like to know who won it the year before. Equipment If anyone needs any new equipment contact Audrey Marlow. Posts are £7 each, white balls £5.50 each & pink balls £5.75 each. Umpiring Don’t forget to check when & where you’re Umpiring. Please note that you may be asked to Umpire a Cup Match even if you haven’t entered the Cup. These fixtures are in the back of the book. Forthcoming Events Presentation Night – You should have received some tickets for this in your Team Pack. This year we are having a “Live Band” and it will be held in September to avoid Half Term. So start selling your tickets & get everyone to support the League by attending. Race Night There is to be a “Race Night” to be held at The Nelson on Friday 28th June starting at 8pm Everyone welcome. Please bring along your friends/family & partners to this event. Bereavement Sadly Myra Gregory passed away recently. Some of the older members of the League may remember her. She was the Captain & player for many years for the KRFC Ladies Team and will be remembered with fondness for her enthusiasm for the game.
